Maintenance and Warranty
|
Currently, the industry provides an 8–10 year warranty
on synthetic turf systems.
The maintenance program that accompanies the synthetic turf
system installation requires the turf contractor to maintain
the synthetic turf in good working order, and repaint any
painted lines once a year right before the respective season
starts. The agreement also requires the contractor to test
the G-Max rating twice a year and add or rework the granular
rubber as required to maintain the specified G-max score.
All fields are tested and maintained in accordance with active
ASTM Standard Specifications for Safety. DLH Architecture
remains as a liaison to ensure proper maintenance and quality
work.
By specifying this warranty and maintenance program, the
owner's only care responsibilities are the sweeping and cleaning
of the field. The amount of sweeping required is directly
related to the amount and type of field usage. Generally,
sweeping once per week is all that is required to maintain
the synthetic turf system in good playable condition.
