The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports over 200,000
children each year are treated in US hospital emergency rooms
for playground equipment related injuries. The majority of
the injuries resulted from falls from equipment to the underlying
surface. Head impact injuries can be life threatening. Therefore,

rubber pad. The turf pad increases the shock-absorbing and
impact attenuating properties. The G-max score of synthetic
turf systems is controlled and maintained by adding or removing
the surface rubber granules, providing a proven means to maintain
and guarantee the synthetic turf playground system will surpass
the minimum required safety standards designated by ASTM.
The industry standard warranty is 8 - 10 years, and it includes
testing and maintaining the desired G-max score.
